Money Saving Tips

I kept telling myself I would stop mentioning the cost or value of things, since no one is viewing this blog for money saving tips, but this one is worth mentioning.

You know the old saying about how kids will enjoy the box more than the gift, well, it definitely rang true during the Dolphin Experience. After interacting with this amazing aquatic mammal for a half an hour, we sat down next to the paddocks for a little snack. At first, the kids occupied themselves by collecting small snails off of the trees. Pretty cool. But then things got really wild when someone spotted a shell moving a little too fast toward the beach. It was a tiny hermit crab. Cin jumped up and quickly found a few more which we kept in a pair of goggles. The kids were in heaven.

Right before getting on the boat to head back to the resort, Mick looked up at me and said, "I liked playing with the crabs the best." I think she noticed the brief look of insanity on my face, because she quickly added, "Oh, and the dolphins. I like the crabs AND the dolphins the best."

Smart kid.
