Cranky Guy and the Tipping Point

Walking back to our room the other night, we passed some random guy heading in the other direction. "Excuse me", he asked. "Are you staying here?" I replied that we were. "Are you having a good time?", he asked, with a slightly interogative tone to his voice. Clearly he wasn't. I thought for a very brief moment, as we were still walking in the other direction, and responded, "Yes, we are." Guess that wasn't the answer he was looking for, because he grunted something unintelligible to his family and sauntered away.

I'd have to say that this incident was definitely the "tipping point" of our trip. Whereas before we were feeling slightly shell shocked by the cost of things (there I go again) and feeling maybe a little "trapped" by the inclusive nature of the resort experience, I think this incident made us realize that we could easily end up like this miserable fella if we kept over analyzing things.

So now we're just sitting back and soaking up the Bahamanian sun, enjoying the beautify scenery (it really is an amazing place), and only occasionally worrying how the heck we're going to get everyone up at 6 AM next Monday.

Some pics of the resort to follow.... Posted by Picasa
