Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends...

Just a quick hello to friends and family that we're inviting to the wonderful world of blogging...Nemoto-style.

And to kick things off, a single picture.

Backstory: Last Saturday, we took a day trip to Occaquan, which is apparently Native American for "gridlock on weekends". As we walked across a footbridge, we spotted a small waterfall emptying into the river. Mick took off running as soon as she saw it, but after getting closer, realized that the water was a lot louder and wilder than she thought. A rather badly sunburnt women was sitting on the top stair leading down to the waterfall, reading a book. Without a second thought, and ignoring all previous lectures about strangers and proximity, Mick plopped down in close proximity to this stranger. I started to apologize but the women turned to Mick and said, "I know. This is the best spot to see the waterfall" and smiled. They sat there in silence for a few minutes, Mick stood up, mumbled something to the women that was either "thanks" or "do you have any candy", and walked back to me with a satisfied look on her face.
